Tasting

by Véronique Boss-Drouhin

Easily recognizable for its beautiful purple colour and typical aromas of violet and musk. Ample and round on the palate. Long aftertaste, with intense fruit.

Vintage

In the Beaujolais area, 2022 yields are below the average of the last five years, but the crop is of very good quality. There are similarities with the great vintages of 2009, 2015, 2018 and 2020. The wines are balanced, fleshy and powerful.
A very good vintage.

Supply: this wine comes from grapes and musts purchased from supply partners according to rigorous specifications.

Harvest: grapes harvested by hands. If necessary, a careful sorting is proceeded in the vineyard and at the winery.

Vinification: traditional for Beaujolais, semi-carbonic maceration, full bunches of grapes. The maceration lasts 4 to 10 days.

Ageing: in stainless-steel vats for a period of 10 to 12 months.
