The vineyards of Côte d'Or at the UNESCO

An exceptional Heritage
The candidature of Côte d'Or vineyards is based on the uniqueness of its terroirs, called "climats." The 1247 "climats" of the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits represent an incredible patchwork of soils and, associated with the cities of Dijon and Beaune, make an outstanding ensemble. In Burgundy, for 2000 years, people have valued this nature to its highest level in order to produce unique wines. Preserving this heritage for future generations is now our responsibility to all. And Maison Joseph Drouhin supports actively this project.
